Dr. Raluca Anghel joined Garden City Veterinary Care in April of 2012. She received her bachelor’s degree from CUNY Hunter College, and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from St George’s University. Dr. Anghel is also a USDA Category II Accredited Veterinarian. 

She was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and moved to New York when she was 13 years old. She grew up on a farm surrounded by all types of animals. Her first pet was a chicken named Pipica. Her love for animals came natural and growing up to be a veterinarian was her life’s dream. In her spare time she enjoys the company of her Chinese Shar Pei named Blueberry, cat called Nocema and a rabbit who is ironically named Bunny Rabbit. She has special interests in Dermatology, Surgery and Internal medicine. She would love to meet you and your pets, and is happy to answer any questions or address any concerns.
