Told her parents at 10 years old that she wanted to be a veterinarian after rescuing a turtle at summer choir camp. Following her dream, she graduated with a BS in zoology from the University of Georgia followed by her DVM at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.  She immediately came to work for Dr. Seaborn Whatley in 1993. She became Dr. Whatley's business partner in 2000 then purchased the clinic outright in 2004.   Her family consists of her husband, 2 cats and one dog.
