Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dr Alyssa Watsonspent many happy days on her grandfather’s dairy farm tending to the horses, sheep, cattle, and chickens, and dreaming of one day becoming a veterinarian. She completed her bachelor degree at St Olaf College in Minnesota with a dual major in Chemistry and Ancient Studies. After graduating with honors, she was accepted to Iowa State University and moved back to Iowa to attend vet school. Her childhood dream became a reality in 2003 when she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and began practicing at a mixed animal hospital in Reno, Nevada. Dr Watson worked in Reno for almost seven years before moving to Las Vegas to be closer to family.

Dr Watson’s professional interests include canine and feline dermatology, reproduction, and soft tissue surgery. She is the mother of a handsome young boy and they share their home with a Great Dane and two cats. When not at the hospital, she is apt to be enjoying the outdoors with her family.
