Dr. Potter is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and Virginia Tech.  Dr. Potter served in the United States Army Veterinary Corps, working with military working dogs, sea lions, and pets of soldiers and veterans.  She has also worked and studied under a board certified veterinary behaviorist at Purdue University.  Prior to joining CCVC, Dr. Potter worked in private practices in Northern Virginia, owned her own house call practice, and regularly filled in for Dr. Watts and Dr. Dye when they were away.  She has particular clinical interests in behavior, nutrition, canine sports medicine, and rehabilitation.  Dr. Potter is very thorough, enjoying solving “medical mysteries” and developing strong relationships with clients and their pets.  She lives in Rixeyville with her husband, son, four dogs, two rabbits, and a cat.
