Dr. Mary Kay Blake received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 1995. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.

After finishing a medical oncology residency in 1999 through the Animal Medical Center in New York and Colorado State University, she followed up with a residency in radiation therapy in conjunction with Colorado State University, VCA, and the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Blake worked in private specialty practice for several years in Los Angeles and Orange Counties prior to joining Animal Specialty Group in the summer of 2007. Board-eligible by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology), Dr. Blake passed medical oncology boards in 2002 and is completing her publication to finalize board certification in 2012.

Dr. Blake is an active member of SCVMA, AVMA, and the Veterinary Cancer Society. She limits her practice here at ASG to medical oncology and radiation consultation and referral.
